There were really two types of Lost fans when the show was on the air: The ones who were there from day one and hung onto every clue, determined until the bitter end to unearth the island’s mysteries, and the ones who, despite enjoying the show at the beginning, simply couldn’t take on another unanswered question or Kate’s constant stream of awful ideas. I count myself in the former category, because no matter how many times the show had left me frustrated, disappointed, or utterly confused, I always had a place in my heart for it. When we last left our heroes at How I Met Your Mother, Marshall and Lily found out they were (finally) going to have a baby, Barney realized he really wanted to make a go with Nora, and Ted (thankfully) had broken up with the evil Zoe. To get you up to speed on all things HIMYM before its hour-long season-seven opener on September 19 (two new episodes back-to-back), Vulture caught up with creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas and grilled them on the status of the characters this year. In the process, they revealed a big upcoming plot twist (there’s a promiscuous pumpkin involved) and talked about getting ready to finally reveal just how the hell Ted met his mate. Lees snel verder!
Cobie Smulders: ‘I’ve had sex with everyone.’

When CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” returns with back-to-back episodes on Monday, Sept. 19, Cobie Smulders’ character, media professional Robin, will be kissing guys.
“Always. Multiple,” Smulders assures Zap2it during a break in filming on the show’s Los Angeles sets.
One guy of the “multiple” looks to be former “House” star and Obama White House staffer Kal Penn, who has signed on to a recurring role in “How I Met Your Mother” as Kevin, a potential love interest for Robin. His first episode is scheduled to air Oct. 3.
“I know that he’s going to be on the show,” says Smulders. “I’m going to be meeting him through therapy that Robin’s going to be taking. That’s all we know. But he’s going to be with us for a while.”
